"Where there is breath, there is hope." Little did I know how effective those words could be when I started taking yoga classes with MiMi only 5 months ago. My goals were to help ease the slight ache of arthritis in my back, strengthen the muscles that would hold my errant SI joint in place, and recover some degree of flexibility from my younger days. I've accomplished much of that, and benefitted in many more ways by my practise of yoga with MiMi During a particularly stressful family event, I found myself repeating MiMi's mantra about breath, and actually finding that it calmed me enough to let me cope and look forward to a good resolution."

"As a newcomer to Yoga, I didn't know if it would be for me or not. Thank goodness I listened to my friends invitation to 'give it a try'. It has been such a wonderful new addition to my life. I find your classes certainly challenging, but so invigorating and relaxing. Your voice and gentle touches of posture correction are very warming. Thanks to your teaching, I am learning to focus on things that are difficult, and by doing so, they become less so. I look forward to every Monday and Friday. Thankyou for being such an inspiration."

"Your classes have helped me heal both physically and mentally/emotionally and continue to do so. Within a couple of months I noticed a marked reduction of my back pain which used to be so unbearable that I could not walk or bend without almost screaming. Emotionally, I used to become a nervous wreck; at times my heart racing and falling short of breath. But the breathing techniques you have been teaching us help me calm down and focus more so I can deal with issues more effectively. On a more lighter note, it is always entertaining to hear Sanskrit asana names in an accent!! / Thanks a bunch..."

"Hi Mimi - I felt really good mentally and physically after the class. I still need to work on my breathing and getting to know the poses but overall, I am really enjoying yoga"
--Michelle Lee, Assistand Buyer, Beginner yoga class graduate April 2007

"Mimi, you are my absolute favorite yoga instructor. I do my best practice in your classes. I wasn't sure Yoga was for me but you really helped me with that barrier. I actually can tune out the world in your classes. And actually got to that relaxation state in your class on Friday. You are awesome!"
--Sheryl Sheets, Beginner yoga class graduate March 2007
"...I also want to let you know how much I'm enjoying your classes. I may never achieve the best form or balance, but I'm so happy about how relaxed and peaceful I feel when I leave class. It is helping me to feel better about myself and, hopefully, will help me become more flexible and have less tension. Thank you for the kindness and gentleness you extend to us all in class."
--Janine Francis, Beginner yoga class graduate, April 2007
"An essential quality in a yoga teacher is spiritual generosity.
Mimi fosters a sense of peace, joy, and gratitude in her instruction.
Using the breath for both energy and calm, postures are attuned to this
involuntary response. As an experienced teacher Mimi has a keen ability
to lead the students through a series of movements which flow from one
another and offer palpable benefits to the participants.
You are my favorite yoga teacher of all time!"
--Judi Rosenberg, English Composition teacher, TWU of Denton, April 2007
"Your classes are awesome. I love the way that you connect emotionally and intellectually with each student. Your dedication to your teaching, and to the principles and fundamentals of yoga really shows. You always provide such a serene, welcoming atmosphere in your classes - sometimes I find myself not wanting the class to end.
Hope to see you in a class soon. I really do miss your classes - a lot. Keep me on your e-mail list - I love to know what's going on when I'm not there!"
--Jana Haasz, April 2007
“I am a man taking Mimi’s Wednesday AM basic yoga class and benefiting very much from it. After many years of tennis, skiing, golf, etc., I ended up with torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders and arthroscopic knee surgery. There went my games, my running and even my workouts in the fitness room. After several months of physical therapy, including Mimi’s yoga class, I am back into tennis and golf. I am very happy about that as I feel that exercise is important for quality of life.
I’m often the only man in the class. I appreciate the ladies, which often includes my wife, allowing me to join them because the yoga exercises have been so helpful to me.”
